Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Thank you for your interest in the conference. Due to the ongoing uncertainty associated with COVID-19, ICOMAT 2022 is shifting gears and going virtual from March 13 to March 18, 2022.

We know that this will come as a little bit disappointment, not only to the participants, who applied to the open call, but also to the whole ICOMAT community, and we share the regret. This is not a decision we have taken lightly. The Local Organizing Committee’s top priority is to ensure the health and safety of all our delegates, speakers, and sponsors.

Although we cannot communicate directly as we enjoy at the in-person meetings, this online conference has several advantages: you can focus on the specific presentations you are interested in on your pc, you can attend the presentations at various topics which are often difficult due to overlap in parallel sessions, and you can send questions and comments to the presenters on virtual format. Moreover, there will be very intensive live discussions, many attractive online events and glorious awards for outstanding presenters.

We are committed to preserving the long history and high standards of the ICOMAT Conference. Although our 16th Annual Conference will look and feel a little different, the tradition of connecting our community through a virtual platform promises to be an exciting experience. We welcome you to join us in this new endeavor, a Virtual ICOMAT 2022 Conference.
