About the Conference
The MetFoam conference series is kept and overseen by a steering committee composed of international experts. The committee meets bi-annually and selects or appoints a Chair for organizing the conference.
The MetFoam conference has been held in Bremen (1999, 2001) and Berlin (2003), Germany; Kyoto, Japan (2005); Montreal, Canada (2007); Bratislava, Slovakia (2009); Busan, Korea (2011); Raleigh, NC, USA (2013) and in Barcelona, Spain (2015). The 10th edition of the conference was held in Nanjing, China (2017).
The current installation of the series, the 11th International Conference on Porous Metals and Metallic Foams (MetFoam 2019), will be held in Dearborn, MI, USA. The chair of MetFoam 2019, with the approval of the steering committee, has partnered with TMS to hold the current installment of this established event series.
