The 78th Device Research Conference is Going Virtual!

Given the global health concerns associated with COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the Organizing Committee has decided to hold the Device Research Conference as an online event. While we will not have the benefits of in-person meetings and interactions, we are doing our best to make the Device Research Conference valuable and technically stimulating.

The dates for the conference are the same as originally planned (Sunday, June 21 - Wednesday, June 24).

As with all DRC editions, we will have inspiring plenary and invited talks from world-renowned researchers, exciting new research presented in our contributed oral and poster presentations, a short course (on Sunday, June 21) delivered by domain experts, and an exciting and interactive rump session (on Tuesday, June 23).

We look forward to your participation in the 78th edition of the Device Research Conference. Please check back to this website for continued updates.

For over seven decades, the Device Research Conference (DRC) has brought together leading scientists, researchers and students to share their latest discoveries in device science, technology and modeling. Notably, many of the first public disclosures of key device technologies were made at the DRC. This year marks the 78th anniversary of the DRC-the longest running device research meeting in the world. As we commemorate this meeting, the high-caliber technical sessions will be highlighted by plenary talks and invited talks by international research pioneers and leaders behind modern electronic technology.

The 2020 Conference will feature:

  • Informative, timely short courses in rapidly developing fields
  • Oral and poster presentations on electronic/photonic device experiments and simulations
  • Plenary and invited presentations given by worldwide leaders
  • Evening ¡°rump¡± session-Tuesday, June 23
  • Strong student participation and Student Paper Awards

Important Change: submission of abstracts for inclusion in IEEE Xplore is now optional!
DRC is coordinated with the Electronic Materials Conference (EMC), which will be held during the same week, from June 24-26. This recognizes the strong interaction between device and electronic materials research and provides fruitful exchange of information between attendees of both Conferences.

Please follow updates online, and direct additional inquiries to the conference Chairs. We look forward to your participation in our first virtual event!
