TMS Fall Meeting 2024

The TMS Fall Meeting 2024 will be held at Materials Science & Technology 2024 (MS&T24) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A complement to the TMS Annual Meeting held each spring, the TMS Fall Meeting at MS&T offers TMS members a chance to connect each year at a second large-scale, multidisciplinary meeting.
TMS presents robust programming, networking and social activities, and professional development events tailored to its members' interests within the broader structure of the MS&T conference series, giving members an opportunity to experience both their TMS community and the resources of all the MS&T partnering societies.

‘2nd Symposium on Carbon Ultimate Utilization Technologies for the Global Environment (CUUTE-2)' will hold from 12 th to 15th of November in Nara, Japan.
The major themes of this conference will be ultimate carbon utilization and the establishment of carbon-neutral industries and society. Since the first symposium (CUUTE-1) was successfully convened in 2021, the social trend has drastically accelerated toward carbon neutrality from the mitigation of CO2 emissions.
CUUTE-2 intends to gather domestic and international knowledge for the development of new low-carbon technologies and low-carbon processes. This conference will showcase innovation and technology, provide details of the latest industrial solutions to carbon utilization issues, and will demonstrate how industries and researchers are meeting the many challenges related to the issues.

The design of industrial processes requires reliable thermodynamic data. CALPHAD (Computer Coupling of Phase Diagrams and Thermochemistry) aims to promote computational thermodynamics through development of models to represent thermodynamic properties for various phases which permit prediction of properties of multicomponent systems from those of binary and ternary subsystems, critical assessment of data and their incorporation into self-consistent databases, development of software to optimize and derive thermodynamic parameters and the development and use of databanks for calculations to improve understanding of various industrial and technological processes. This work is disseminated through the CALPHAD journal and its annual conference. |
